It is extremely common for laundry and dish washing detergents to use a wide variety of fragrances, essences and active ingredients. A single laundry detergent brand has as many as seven (7) different fragrances which are costly and can take hours to remove all trace elements from any given vessel. Additionally, blending fragrances, essences and active ingredients into a detergent must be done with minimal shear to keep foaming to an absolute minimum.
A large manufacturer of detergents installed an Infini-Mix “N” series mixer at the end of each packaging line to dose in the valuable fragrances and essences at the “end of the pipe”, just prior to being deposited into the container. This allowed them to maximize their batch tank usage to make a more standardized base product which drastically save don cleaning costs and downtime.
