The Axiflow HopperPump™ was designed for heavily viscous doughs and meat slurries as well as for large solids in a light viscosity carrier fluid, such as soups and salsas.
The HopperPump™ design touts a wider intermediate flange to accommodate a large, open throat. The screws are longer and extend to the back of the intermediate flange. However, the most unique feature of the HopperPump™ is the regressive screws which allow for large solids to fall directly into the screw cavities. This is protects delicate inclusions and also keeps light carrier fluid slurries from “de-watering” the product when transferring.
The HopperPump™ comes in (4) primary sizes ranging from 1.5″ connection up to 10″ connections and the ability to pass solids in excess of 2″ in diameter.
